The Revere incident shuts down commuter service in Lynnway

REVERE – An incident involving Massachusetts State Police occurred Wednesday morning, causing a traffic stop on the Lynnway.

State Police Revere Barracks received a call about the incident at 5:40 a.m., state police reported. The call reported a man sitting in a vehicle on Revere Beach Boulevard with a gun and possibly suicidal.

A hostage negotiator, K-9 unit and Revere Fire/EMS joined Revere Barracks Soldiers in the response.

On Wednesday afternoon, it was reported that Ocean Avenue and Revere Beach Boulevard were closed between Beach Street and Revere Street, causing a traffic backup.
