Shedeur Sanders clarified Colorado class registration comment from viral video

In a video posted by Colorado on Monday, team coaches reminded players to register for classes for the following semester, prompting a viral comment from star quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who is almost certain to enter the NFL draft after the conclusion of the 2024 season .

“Register for courses? I’m going to the league,” Sanders quipped in the video. “After the last game, you won’t see me again (next year),” he later added.

But besides NFL dreams, Sanders has another reason to leave the school run by his father and coach, Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders.

The younger Sanders further clarified his viral comment in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, explaining that he was graduating college ahead of schedule.

“By the way, I’m graduating early,” Sanders wrote.

Sanders, a senior, is studying sociology. His early graduation and increasing chances of being the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft provide further justification for leaving the Buffaloes.

The Dallas, Texas native has completed 73.3% of his passes for 2,591 yards, 21 touchdowns and six interceptions while posting three rushing scores in eight games played.

Heading into Saturday's road game against Texas Tech (6-3), Colorado (6-2) is No. 20 in the country.
