Is Macaulay Culkin's Disney+ movie 'Cabin Alone' real?

Macaulay Culkins Cabin alone Film isn't a real thing – and we need to have a serious conversation with the people who think it is. Did you know it's possible to put together a fake movie poster using Photoshop? You can even add a cute little logo to make everything look official! Apparently a lot of people don't know about this new type of photo editing software because a recent (obviously) fake poster is from a fantasy world Home alone The sequel went viral – and many, many, many people seem to believe it's real.

The Facebook post (which you can see here) has racked up over 135,000 likes in a week and has tons of comments from fans expressing their excitement. “This is amazing! Keep it up, we love all the Home Alone movies!” one person wrote. “What???? I can't wait,” chimed in another.

Is Cabin alone a real movie?

Again: no.

Our first clue? The Facebook “announcement” that started the whole thing was posted by an unverified account called “YODA BBY ABY,” which appears to be posting fake sequel posters. And yes, we're pretty sure Disney+ doesn't release its major press releases through an account called “YODA BBY ABY.”

Secondly, the poster is obviously fake, people! The title logo font with the cheesy picture of a hut in the middle? The very obvious cut around Culking and O'Hara? The fact that Culkin's name is misspelled and has a random capital letter in the middle??

Third note. The film description. It is said:

“NEW HOME ALONE!!! KEVIN AND HIS MOTHER!!!”

This Christmas, Kevin McCallister and his mother arrive early at their family's remote cabin, only to learn that the rest of the family's flight is delayed. When Marv and Harry set their sights on the supposedly empty cabin, Kevin and his mother band together to defend it in the ultimate showdown. With snowy traps, outlandish pranks and high-risk holiday antics, they transform the quiet cabin into a thrilling battlefield that will have you laughing and cheering. Get ready for a wild vacation adventure with Cabin Alone, streaming on Disney+ this December!”

OK, it does sounds kind of funny. To be honest, everything O'Hara does is a riot. But as funny as it sounds, it also sounds, well, completely made up.

Will there ever be one? Home alone Sequel with Macaulay Culkin and Catherine O'Hara?

Unfortunately, while millennials may have gotten used to sequels to cult films of the '90s and '00s, we probably won't see O'Hara and Culkin in a repeat of those films Home alone Characters in brief.
