Lexington man accused of pistol whipping his neighbor

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A Lexington man is accused of pistol whipping his neighbor.

John Nation is a convicted felon charged with assault, wanton endangerment and possession of a handgun.

According to an arrest warrant, Nation and the victim began having problems after he previously spoke to Nation's romantic partner.

When this happened, Nation began harassing and threatening him every time he saw him, according to police.

Their problems came to a head on October 9th when Nation confronted the victim with a gun.

According to police, Nation shot the victim several times, eventually hitting him in the head with the gun.

Nation is being held at the Fayette County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
