Video of Donald Trump's celebration at Mar-a-Lago goes viral

A video of President-elect Donald Trump celebrating his victory at Mar-a-Lago went viral on social media.

On Wednesday, Siggy Flicker, a Real Housewives of New Jersey star and longtime Trump supporter posted the video on X, formerly Twitter, showing Trump sitting at an outdoor table at his West Palm Beach club with his lawyer Alina Habba and two others.

In the clip, Habba and another woman sing and dance at the table to “Trump Won,” a 2023 song by Natasha Owens that promotes the false claim that Trump won the 2020 election. Trump, wearing his signature blue suit and red MAGA hat, sits smiling. He also points and drums on the table. Others in the club sing along to the song and cheer at the end.

On November 6, Trump was elected President of the United States for the second time. The Associated Press reported that he received 295 votes in the Electoral College. That number is expected to rise as Trump holds the lead in the swing states of Nevada and Arizona, putting him on track to sweep the seven battleground states that were widely expected to decide the election defeat.

“TRUMP WON!!!! Aside from the birth of my children… last night was one of the most magical nights! What a great time to be alive!!!!” Flicker wrote in the video’s caption. As of Thursday morning, the video had been viewed more than 113,800 times.

“You did it, Mr. President!!! Nobody could stop you!!!” Flicker continued. “Not mainstream propaganda, not the judiciary, not liberal hackers, NO ONE! WE THE PEOPLE love and appreciate everything you and your beautiful family have done to save us, save our children, save the future generation of Americans…” …from communism!!”

Unlike the 2016 election, in which he won the Electoral College but lost the popular vote, Trump is on track to win both in 2024. As of 6 a.m. ET Thursday, the Republican had 72,641,564 votes, or 50.9 percent of support. compared to his Democratic opponent with 67,957,895 votes, or 47.6 percent, according to the Associated Press.

Trump called winning the popular vote “great” and “very beautiful” in his victory speech in Florida on Wednesday.

Republicans have also gained control of the Senate, gaining 52 seats so far. Democrats and Sen. Bernie Sanders, an independent from Vermont, control 44 seats. The remaining four Senate races in Nevada, Arizona, Pennsylvania and Maine have not yet been called.

In the House of Representatives, no party exceeded the 218-seat threshold to achieve a majority. The Associated Press has called 206 seats for Republicans and 191 for Democrats, with 38 races pending. Based on the ranking of its candidates in the remaining races, the Republican Party is the favorite to win a narrow majority.
