RBA keeps interest rates at 13-year high as world awaits US vote

Australia's central bank on Tuesday kept its key interest rate at its highest level in 13 years to keep pressure on stubborn inflation while, like much of the world, awaiting the outcome of the US election.

As expected, the Reserve Bank kept its key interest rate at 4.35%, marking a year at that level, and reiterated that it “does not exclude or rule out anything” when it comes to monetary policy. The RBA board highlighted the “high level of uncertainty” surrounding the international outlook.
