Veronica Ford is charged in the Huntsville stabbing

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – A woman is charged in connection with a stabbing early Thursday morning in Huntsville.

According to Huntsville Police, officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Old Monrovia Road around 2:30 a.m. in reference to a domestic call.

When officers arrived at the scene, they reportedly found a man and a woman in an apartment.

Police said the man appeared to have suffered an injury to his abdomen caused by a knife. The male victim was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.

Veronica Dolores Ford, 31, of Huntsville, was identified as a suspect following an interview and review of evidence at the scene.

Ford was charged with domestic violence, aggravated assault and family knife.

She was booked into the Madison County Jail. Her bail is $2,500.
