FAIRMONT, W.Va (WDTV) – A Marion County woman was arrested Thursday and charged with child abuse.

According to West Virginia State Police, Connie Cain, 44, of Metz, was charged with child abuse resulting in injury after she abused a 13-year-old girl.

Police responded to a domestic incident in Metz around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday

Video and audio surveillance show Cain lying on top of the girl as she pleads for her life and asks Cain to get off her and let go of her neck, court documents say.

During the argument, Cain hit the girl several times with his clenched fist and attacked her with a dog leash. According to police, the girl lay balled up in fear on the floor, leaning against the door, while being violently beaten with a leash.
