Police report an incident near Rams Horn and believe suspects have left campus – The Rocky Mountain Collegian

On October 22nd at 10:20 p.m., the Colorado State University Police Department reported police activity in the area of ​​Ram's Horn in Academic Village.

“CSU police are searching for a suspect described as a 6-foot-tall black male with short, wavy hair, wearing a dark top and gray sweatpants,” said a 10:52 CSU statement. Police. “The suspect was dating a Hispanic male. Both left the Rams Horn area. Continue to avoid the Rams Horn area.”

A safety message from CSU PD was sent to campus community members alerting them to the situation and asking individuals to avoid the area.

According to CSU Safety, the situation is not related to the Oct. 16 aggravated assault.

CSU PD conducted a search of the campus for the suspects after an altercation was reported on the west side of CSU's main campus near Rams Horn, but was unable to locate the suspects, according to a sent at 11:49 p.m Security warning for the campus emerges

“The investigation is ongoing and the Fort Collins Police Department has been notified of this case,” the alert said. “The information received indicates that the suspects involved have left campus.”
