Liam Payne death investigation: Two people arrested in connection

Two people have been arrested in connection with Liam Payne's death and a third has also been charged. A drug dealer and a hotel maintenance worker are accused of giving the former One Direction singer the narcotics that were in his system when he fell from a third-floor hotel balcony in Argentina on Oct. 16, Buenos Aires sources say La Nation And Rolling Stone. A friend of Payne's was also charged with abandonment of a person, but was not arrested. The friend, an Argentine businessman, reportedly posed as Payne's business manager, but was not. He allegedly kept Payne's current drug problems a secret from his family and failed to show up after authorities called him on the day of Payne's death. Police have searched eight locations in connection with the three accused the room of a woman who was with Payne before his death.

An autopsy previously revealed that Payne had a number of drugs in his system at the time of his death, including a mixture of substances known as “pink cocaine.” Drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in Payne's hotel room in Buenos Aires.
