Bay Minette police arrested a 46-year-old man accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a child

BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WALA) – A 46-year-old man is facing multiple charges stemming from allegations that he had an inappropriate relationship with a child under 16 years old.

Bay Minette police, with assistance from the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office, arrested Fernandius Lamar Lowman on Thursday.

After receiving a complaint in early October from a guardian of a minor child about the alleged inappropriate relationship, Bay Minette police said their investigation found enough evidence to proceed. Investigators obtained arrest warrants in two cases of second-degree sodomy and one case of electronic solicitation of a minor child.

Lowman is being held pending a bond hearing.

Police said the investigation is still ongoing.
