Who will “Blessed” fight next in the UFC?

In Max Holloway's next fight, the former UFC featherweight king looks to reclaim his 145-pound title against Ilia Topuria at UFC 308. Read on to find out when Holloway's next fight is and what his options are for the future at UFC featherweight.

Max Holloway's next fight: Who will the former UFC featherweight king fight next?

Despite being just 32 years old, Max Holloway is widely regarded as an MMA veteran and something of a UFC stalwart. He has fought 33 times in his career, including 29 fights under the UFC banner. Holloway's record is an impressive 26-7, including 12 knockouts.

He has shared the octagon with a who's who of stars including Conor McGregor, Alexander Volkanovski three times, Jose Aldo twice, Charles Oliveira, Cub Swanson and Anthony Pettis, to name a few.

UFC fans last saw Max Holloway in action at UFC 300 in Las Vegas in April. This was perhaps one of the most dramatic fights of Holloway's entire career, where he won the BMF title against Justin Gaethje. Holloway won the fight with ease before scoring one of the best knockouts ever seen in the last second of the fight to cement his dominance.

That fight took place about six months ago, and Holloway is now back in action at UFC 308 on October 26th – this time in Abu Dhabi. UFC President Dana White is hoping for a standout card at UFC 308 this weekend, which features some mammoth fights like Robert Whittaker vs. Khamzat Chimaev, to name just one.

As for Max Holloway's next fight, he faces undefeated UFC featherweight king Ilia Topuria in the main event at UFC 308. This is by far the toughest test of Topuria's career besides “Volk”, against one of the most talented boxers of all time, the entire UFC roster.

The top British betting sites have listed 'E Matador' as the narrow favorite to beat Holloway, but many people will be backing the American to hand Ilia Topuria the first defeat of his career on fight night.

Could Max Holloway face Conor McGregor again in 2025?

If Max Holloway makes it through the Ilia Topuria fight at UFC 308 unscathed, he could be in for a mega fight next. If he beats the champion, especially if he does so in style, the 32-year-old could be next in line for a multi-million dollar win.

Who that is against remains to be seen. Several different fights make perfect sense for the Hawaiian, including a possible fourth fight with a rematch against Alexander Volkanovski. Not to mention a possible fight with former bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley if he wants to move up to 145 pounds.

Another contest that could make sense for Holloway could be his rematch with Conor McGregor. The pair fought back in 2013 before both became household names in the UFC. However, a fight between McGregor and Holloway at lightweight would be a sensational pay-per-view event in 2025. Maybe even for Holloway's BMF title.

This all depends on how good Holloway looks at UFC 308 and if he takes any damage himself. If not, he could be in for some mammoth fights in 2025. Perhaps he will continue to face featherweight competition and establish himself as one of the best mixed martial artists in the world.

The best UFC betting sites in the UK have often written Holloway off, but if he beats Topuria it would take a brave man to face him in the future. Time will tell what happens next for “Blessed,” but first he must defeat “El Matador” on Saturday night at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi.
