Country star Zach Bryan and Barstool Sports personality Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia's split recently made headlines.

And it looks like it's going to be making headlines for a while.

LaPiglia made sure of that when she appeared on the BFFs podcast, which she co-hosts with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards, and told everyone after the breakup. Her attitude doesn't sit well with the country star.

“The last year of my life was the most difficult year of my life, dealing with the abuse from this guy,” LaPiglia said. “I'm still scared at the moment because I'm scared of him. My brain is rewired and I’m afraid of making him angry.”

LaPiglia then described what she called “emotional abuse.”

“There was always some other excuse as to why he treated me so badly and why I cry myself to sleep every night, why he yells at me,” she said. “And then you wake up, it's the apology, it's the 'I'm going to get better, I need you in my life.'”

LaPiglia claimed Bryan offered her $12 million and a New York City apartment in exchange for signing a non-disclosure agreement following their split, but she said she declined.

“I was offered a lot of money, like a big lump sum and a few options,” she said. “Basically I would have received the money over a period of three years. I would have had to hand over all of my experiences, everything that I am, to this person. They would have monitored everything I do.

“I didn’t take any money,” she added. “I won't accept any money. I think that's beneath me. I don't think you can pay people you hurt to protect you. I think offering this seemingly beautiful relationship millions of dollars to keep it a secret speaks volumes.”

LaPiglia recounted specific incidents, including one at the Golden Globes where she claimed Bryan disapproved of her dress.

“Every good thing, every good thing I did for myself, he made sure it was ruined for me,” she said. “He ruined my birthday. He ruined my tour. He ruined the Golden Globes. Everything Brianna did for Brianna, he had to ruin it.”

Much more was explained in the podcast, and You can read more about it here on Billboard.com.

“I lost myself throughout this whole relationship,” LaPiglia said. “I don’t recognize myself anymore. I lost 15 pounds. I didn't have to lose in the relationship. I didn't sleep. I was completely isolated from my family, friends and work.”
