Detroit Lions fan goes viral wearing cheese grater hat at Packers game

It was a moment seen by millions of people on Sunday.

A Detroit Lions fan cheering on the game at Lambeau Field carrying nothing but a cheese grater.

The Northern Michigan fan tells me his headgear has become a game-day staple.

“I actually bought the hat 10 years ago,” says David Bodine.

On Sunday, Fox Broadcast cut to the audience at Lambeau Field during the Lions-Packers game and David was seen wearing that popular hat.

“A few of my friends either texted me or we have a group Discord chat and they sent me screenshots of it, let me know,” says David.

he and his wife have been attending games at Lambeau Field for years.

His wife is a Packers fan.

“My wife and I will go and she’ll wear her cheese hat and I’ll wear my cheese grater head. And, you know, when we're walking around the stadium or the bars or whatever, we're going to meet all kinds of people who…” like, “Oh my God, can I take a picture of you?”

It's the first time for him that David has gone viral.

“I just enjoy it, you know, I have a good laugh about it. You know, it's funny, there are a lot of worse things I could go viral for,” he says.

He says Packers fans enjoy seeing him carry the cheese grater.

The company from which he bought the hat years ago has since gone bankrupt, he says.
