SUV hit by a bullet after a road rage incident in Springfield, Missouri.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Police are searching for the driver of a pickup truck after a road rage incident Friday morning. A police lieutenant says the traffic disturbance occurred just after 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Kimbrough and Elm, northwest of the Missouri State University campus.

The driver of the pickup truck shot at the SUV and a bullet struck the rear of the vehicle. Nobody was injured.

Police believe the driver of the SUV tried to flee before the shot was fired. “I pretty much did what he's done so far, which is get out of the situation, but unfortunately situations like this happen,” Lt. Curt Ringgold.

Police are reviewing surveillance video from nearby businesses to get a better description of the pickup. Apparently there was a washer and dryer in the back of the truck.
