Ravens activate Keaton Mitchell (knee) from injured reserve; RB will play against the Bengals

Mitchell was an undrafted rookie in 2023 and emerged as a weapon for the Ravens last season when he suffered a knee injury in Week 15 against the Jaguars. He had strung together six straight games with at least 40 scrimmage yards and had one of those better games (nine carries, 73 yards) when he was injured.

Mitchell is expected to play second fiddle to Derrick Henry – the NFL's all-time leader in carries, rushing yards and touchdowns – perhaps as a bit of lightning to Henry's thunder. At the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine, Mitchell ran a 4.37-second 40-yard dash and was noted for his big-play skills, averaging 8.4 yards per rush and 10.3 yards per reception.

The Ravens entered Thursday ranked No. 1 in yards from scrimmage – 445.9 per game, 43.5 more than any other team – and No. 2 in scoring (31.4 points per game), behind only the Lions.
