Police say truck kills pedestrian in Olathe crash

OLATHE, Kan. (KCTV) – A woman died in a pedestrian accident Thursday evening in Olathe.

The Olathe Police Department said a crash involving a pedestrian and a pickup truck in the area of ​​South Lone Elm Road and I-35 Highway resulted in the death of a 37-year-old woman.

According to OPD, the crash occurred Thursday just after 6:15 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found the woman, a pedestrian, unresponsive. Life-saving measures were attempted at the scene, but the woman was later pronounced dead.

Police said the 57-year-old man who was driving the pickup remained at the scene and was cooperating with the crash investigation.
