Google launches its AI-powered video presentation app Gemini

Google is currently rolling out its AI-powered Vids app, Gemini, which lets you create video presentations using command prompts. Key features of Vids include Gemini automatically inserting stock footage for you, creating a script, and creating AI voiceovers so you don't have to speak. Google touts that the tool can help convert customer support articles into videos, create training videos, share company announcements, create meeting recaps, and more.

Videos will be available by default for Workspace organizations with access, but Google notes that possible usage limits may apply to features like Help Me Create and AI voiceovers starting in 2026.

First announced in April, Vids lets you add relevant documents, slides, voiceovers, and video recordings to the app's timeline and create a presentation video for your colleagues. The app supports multiple languages, but AI features like “Help Create” and the read-along teleprompter are currently only available in English. The introductory phase of the vids began on November 7th and some may take more than 15 days to become available.
