Police arrest Lebanese high school teacher in child pornography investigation

LEBANON, Mo. (KY3) – Police have arrested a Lebanese high school teacher who has been charged in a child pornography investigation.

Marcella Cadle faces multiple charges, including possession of child pornography, providing pornographic material to a minor and fourth-degree assault. A judge ordered her held without bail.

Police responded to the 700 block of Brice Street on an allegation of pornographic material being sent to minors. Following the investigation, Cadle, a Lebanese high school teacher, was arrested. Police believed she had exchanged the material with a student. The student told police he tried to resist, but Cadle became more persistent.

Police say Lebanon R-III School District officials are cooperating with the investigation. Lebanon police are urging citizens to immediately report anyone attempting to engage in unwanted, inappropriate or sexual communication with children to local police.

Cadle teaches in the agriculture department.
