Todd Golden of Florida is accused of spookily stalking students

Florida men's basketball coach Todd Golden is accused of sexually exploiting, harassing and stalking an “undetermined number of women,” according to a bombshell report from the Independent Florida Alligator.

The student newspaper cites a formal Title IX complaint in which Golden allegedly asked for sexual favors and sent photos and videos of his genitals via Instagram while on school business.

He is also accused of taking photos of women walking or driving on more than one occasion and sending them to people involved in the complaint.

A former student from Florida claimed that Golden personally stalked her after she posted her location on her Instagram Story, and Golden responded that he was “waiting for her.” [her]” in the area – such cases have occurred more than 10 times, she told The Alligator.

In addition, the 39-year-old sent unsolicited photos of his genitals, including during his team's trip.

“At first it starts slow and goes, ‘Oh, wow. That's strange. “This guy is paying attention to us,” the woman told the outlet. “And then it becomes like, ‘Wow, he’s kind of crossing a line. No, he didn't mean it like that.' Then it's like, 'Wait, he's completely crossing that line.' And then it's like, 'Wow, there's a picture of his cock.' It was a comprehensive grooming process for all of us.”

A University of Florida spokesperson told the outlet that the school complies with federal law and cannot confirm or comment on Title IX inquiries, and that the coaching staff did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the student newspaper.

A second woman told The Alligator that Golden wants several of her Instagram posts to get her attention before removing the likes to hide activity.

“He would go to such great lengths,” one of the women told the outlet.

“He went back, like a year ago, and liked ten photos at once. Then of course [he] This was followed by a direct message, always in disappearing mode…Really aggressive Instagram stalking is the best way to put it.”

The school reportedly received the formal Title IX complaint on September 27.

Golden came to coach the Gators in 2022 after spending three seasons as head coach at the University of San Francisco.

He led Florida to the NCAA Tournament in 2024, his second season at the school, with an overall mark of 24-12.

In more than two seasons with the Gators, he has compiled a record of 42-29 and 20-16 in SEC play.
