Cheese Recall: Brie will be removed from shelves in 12 states, thrown away as soon as possible or returned for a refund

Six different types of Brie cheese are being recalled in 12 states, including New Jersey, due to the presence of listeria.

Savencia Cheese USA has recalled the six different varieties of Brie after routine testing of processing equipment at the factory where the cheese is made revealed the presence of listeria contamination, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

To date, no illnesses or deaths have been reported in connection with the current recall.
