Suspect moved to adult prison for Thomson teen's murder

THOMSON, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A suspect involved Murder of 14-year-old Thomson was transferred to the McDuffie County Jail with other adults.

Teyiceazhia Williams, now 17, was arrested in 2023 and charged with murder for her involvement.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation told us Friday that Williams has been charged as an adult in connection with the incident.

Williams was 16 years old at the time of her arrest and was originally taken to the Augusta Juvenile Detention Center.

The agency says there are no new updates in the case and that it is still active and ongoing.

The victim, Jonathan Johnson, 14, died Saturday at 11:31 a.m. from a gunshot wound to the head.

Dequadrez Walker, 18, and Camerin McNair, 15, were also arrested and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and gang violence charges.

After Johnson's death, the case was upgraded to a murder investigation, and additional murder warrants were obtained for Walker and McNair.

Walker was taken to the McDuffie County Jail and McNair was taken to the Augusta Youth Detention Center.
