Man accused of trespassing at Mar-a-Lago arrested again – NBC 6 South Florida

A California man who was previously arrested for trying to enter President-elect Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago was arrested again for trying to enter the Palm Beach home.

Zijie Li, 39, of the Los Angeles area, was arrested Thursday after a trespassing warning.

Authorities said Li tried several times to breach security at Mar-a-Lago because he wanted to speak with Trump.

According to an arrest report, Li first received a trespassing warning on July 19 for attempting to enter the club to speak with Trump.

Li was in Palm Beach four other times, drove to a checkpoint, but did not attempt to enter Mar-a-Lago, the report said.

Increased security measures remain in place around President-elect Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida following his election victory.

On July 30, he was in Palm Beach posting documents about Trump on vehicles, and the next day, July 31, he was arrested for trespassing at Mar-a-Lago.

At the time, authorities said Li, who is originally from China, told the Secret Service he had information that China was involved in the July 13 assassination attempt on Trump in Pennsylvania, WPTV reported.

On Oct. 30, Li tried to get help from a local resident to get to Mar-a-Lago and he was trafficked by Baker, the report said.

He was later released on bail on the condition that he stay 500 feet away from Trump and Mar-a-Lago.

But on Thursday, he arrived at a checkpoint in Mar-a-Lago as a rideshare passenger and was arrested.

Li appeared in court on Friday, where his bail was set at $100,000.

After the two assassination attempts on Trump and his 2024 election victory, security measures at Mar-a-Lago were increased.
