Ariana Grande fans are angry about the rejection of the 2025 Grammy nominations

Ariana Grande's fans are expressing their anger after the Grammy Awards snubbed the musician with their 2025 nominations.

After a three-year break, the singer released her seventh album, “Eternal Sunshine,” in March. The long-awaited album included hits like “Yes, And?” and “We Can't Be Friends (Wait for Your Love).”

Although the album broke records and Grande was praised for her vulnerability, the Grammys did not include the album or any of the songs in their major categories such as Album of the Year, Record of the Year or Song of the Year.

The album “Eternal Sunshine” secured a spot in the Best Pop Vocal Album category, while “Yes, And?” secured a nomination in the Best Dance-Pop Recording category.

Grande, 31, received a final nomination in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for her remix song “This Boy is Mine” with Brandy and Monica.

Shortly after the nominations were announced on Friday, Grande's fans took to social media to express their outrage over the rejections of “Eternal Sunshine” and “We Can't Be Friends (Wait for your Love).”

“Ariana Grande, one of the few artists who wrote, produced and sang a personal, amazingly constructed concept album almost entirely for her life. was snubbed once again,” one person wrote on X.

“Eternal Sunshine is one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the year and the ONLY one this year to have multiple #1 singles and still not receive an Album of the Year nomination. The #GRAMMYs remain rigged,” another user shared on X.

“Ariana Grande not being nominated in the main categories is a JOKE. “Eternal Sunshine and We Can't Be Friends have been banned from the #GRAMMYs,” someone wrote about X.

“We’re already seeing Ariana Grande get snubbed AGAIN! What do you mean “We Can't Be Friends” isn't nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance and Video of the Year? EMBARRASSING AS ALWAYS,” another fan shared via X.

“What do you mean ARIANA GRANDE WASN’T NOMINATED FOR ALBUM, SONG AND RECORD OF THE YEAR? JUST A F-KING NOMINATION? JUSTICE TO YOU AND ETERNAL SUNSHINE! No wonder she wants to focus on acting, SHE WAS RUNNED OUT!” wrote one angry fan on X.

Ariana Grande's “We Can't Be Friends” was easily the BEST video of the year, and there were absolutely no competitors that even came close. The Grammys will pay for removing this great song from the Music Videos and Songs categories,” another user commented on X.

“Eternal Sunshine was rejected in the AOTY category. Another year of Ariana not being given the respect she deserves in the music industry. She's really being sabotaged and someone other than my sister is being pressured…” Another angry user chimed in on X.

Representatives for Grande and the Recording Academy did not respond to Page Six's request for comment. Grande also didn't address the snub.

The “Wicked” star has had run-ins with the Grammys in the past.

In 2019, Grande made headlines when she skipped the awards show after publicly arguing with producers over which song she would perform.

According to Variety, Grande felt “insulted” that producers didn't want her to perform her hit song “7 Rings.”

Producers eventually offered a compromise that allowed Grande to combine “7 Rings” with another song of her choice. However, she declined the offer and did not participate.
