Webster County man arrested after threatening to kill police officers, judge said

WEBSTER SPRINGS, W.Va (WDTV) – A Webster County man was arrested earlier this week after threatening to kill several officers.

Robert Wilt, 67, of Webster Springs, was charged with terroristic attacks and two counts of felony assault, according to the Webster County Sheriff's Department.

On Sunday, Wilt walked into the Webster County 911 center and told two dispatchers that he was going to burn Webster Springs and shoot them, officials said. Wilt assumed one of the dispatchers was Magistrate Jason Davis, they said.

According to court documents, Wilt also threatened to kill Tim Miller, all law enforcement and Judge Jason Davis.

Wilt is currently in the Central Regional Jail with bail set at $26,500.
