A multi-vehicle accident causes extended traffic jams on I-81

AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) – A multi-vehicle accident in Augusta County has caused backups on Interstate 81.

Travelers can expect delays at mile marker 233.4 southbound on I-81. According to VDOT, the right shoulder is closed and traffic congestion is approximately seven miles as of 5:05 p.m.
