Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase supports Zac Taylor's decision to win against Ravens: “I agree with it 100%.”

Cincinnati Bengals coach Zac Taylor faced a mix of praise and criticism after going for two points rather than a potential game-winning extra point late in the fourth quarter of Thursday night's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow's pass to Tanner Hudson failed, sealing the Ravens' 35-34 victory.

Three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, who caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from Burrow to bring the Bengals within one point, was among those who spoke out in favor of Taylor's aggressive approach late in the game .

Chase finished the night with 264 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

After the game, Taylor made it clear that the Bengals went to Baltimore “to win.”

“We expected to come here to win and we did everything we could to make that happen. That doesn't change the fact that I'm proud. I think everyone on that field fought and gave us a chance.” [We] We lost a game away from home against a good team and it's shocking that it's happened to us twice. This is it,” Taylor told reporters.

Taylor also called Chase and Burrow's performance against the Bengals “unbelievable.”

“This is good defense. … They have a lot of talent over there. I thought Ja'Marr has improved tremendously. And at any time we can just find ways to get him the ball… I thought Joe.” [Burrow] did great. And Ja'Marr finished many of these pieces for us. That's why I thought they played excellently.
