Joshua Jackson has a surprising threesome scene in Doctor Odyssey

Warning: This story contains spoilers from the November 7 episode Doctor Odyssey.

Joshua Jackson is causing a stir with his co-stars Doctor Odyssey.

The November 7th episode of Jackson's latest project, Ryan Murphy's Doctor Odysseyended with the actor having a threesome with his two colleagues Avery (Phillipa Soo) and Tristan (Sean Teale).

Jackson's character Max accidentally came up with the idea after asking Avery and Tristan for five life goals over a few bottles of champagne one evening.

Tristan was the one who brought up the activity after saying that falling in love “like a forever love” was on his bucket list.

“Before the dog, before the marriage, before the children, [I want to] “I'm having a threesome,” Tristan said, shocking Avery, who pointed out that he has a girl at “every port” the luxury cruise ship docks at.

“They’re really hard to organize,” Tristan admitted.

When it came time for Avery's wish list, a threesome was at the top of her list, and then the trio headed to Max's cabin for a nightcap, where he shared some of his own desires, including getting married and starting a family.

Tristan complained that none of his boss's answers were particularly funny, which then led Max to admit that he had already had a threesome – and although he had made a “pact” to never reveal the details, he said that his two partners had more interested in each other than in him.

Avery then suggested adding a “good threesome” to his wish list to make up for his previous experiences, and Max relented and added that to his list.

Then the trio's spirits seemed to rise, and Avery declared, “I mean, I'm ready,” to which Tristan said, “Yeah, right, Avery.”

“What? It's on all our lists,” she said before putting down her drink and greeting an eager Tristan, who quickly joined her on the couch.

After watching his two colleagues make out for a moment, Avery pushed Tristan away and began kissing Max while Tristan hugged her from behind.

The episode ended abruptly, with what would happen between the trio only hinted at and not fully explored.

In an Instagram post commemorating the role, Ballerini, 31, shared a carousel of photos from the set – including a hilarious video with her on-screen mother, played by Margo Martindale – and wrote in the caption: “Screamed, cried, threw up. “Thank you for having me (Lisa).”
