Maine doctor accused of running massage parlor as a front for prostitution

YARMOUTH, Maine — A Yarmouth doctor is facing sex trafficking charges, and investigators believe he ran an illegal massage business.

Peter O'Donnell, 68, of Yarmouth, was arrested Thursday morning after police executed a search warrant at his doctor's office.

At the same time, police also raided his massage business, A. Envy, in Freeport.

They say the business was a front for prostitution, with O'Donnell recruiting and hiring people to provide sexual services to customers.

During Thursday's searches, authorities identified two people suspected of being victims of human trafficking.

O'Donnell's bond was set at $25,000 and his arraignment is scheduled for Jan. 7.
