Pamela Anderson's life changed with the documentary | BANG Showbiz English

Pamela Anderson believes her Netflix documentary was a “turning point.”

The “Baywatch” actress got to tell her own story in 2023's “Pamela Anderson: A Love Story” and believes that showing “authenticity and vulnerability” helped people see her differently, and that this has led to her current career resurgence.

She told Best magazine: “The documentary was a turning point.

“People tell me they responded by showing a certain kind of authenticity and vulnerability.

“I'm so excited to celebrate that and bring it to my character in The Last Showgirl.”

“Shelley as a character parallels who I was, who I am now, and how I was able to show my true self for the first time in my life.”

While the 57-year-old star considers her role in The Last Showgirl to be “the role of a lifetime,” Pamela believes she hasn't been able to do justice to the role until now.

She said: “Shelley is the role of a lifetime. It's the kind of role I always wanted but never had the chance to play.

“I was always too young, too underestimated or just too busy making the wrong decisions.

“But without the lifelong experiences and journey I have taken, I could not have played Shelley.

“It’s like everything should lead here.”

Pamela – who has sons Brandon and Dylan with her ex-husband Tommy Lee – admitted she has made “mistakes” in her life but has no regrets.

When asked if she had any regrets, she said: “No, not really. Have I made mistakes? Naturally. But I don't regret much. It was exciting.

“I would maybe do some things differently, approach certain things more, but you can't really regret something like that in life.

“I’m proud to be here now, doing things I love.

“I am proud to be a mother to my two sons and grateful that I have the energy to do everything I do now and next.

“I look forward to the future more than I look back with regret.”
