Police examine body in crash near Brayton Drive

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Anchorage police say a pedestrian was struck by an SUV traveling north on Brayton Drive and died at the scene.

On Friday evening, Anchorage Fire Department patrol officers and paramedics responded to the area of ​​Brayton Drive and Heather Meadows Loop on reports of a vehicle collision with injuries.

The pedestrian involved in the collision was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the collision is ongoing.

According to APD, the victim's identity will be released once next of kin notification is complete.
