Man arrested after drunken rampage at strip club

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Officials say a man was arrested after destroying property and abusing several people at a local strip club.

Police said they were called to the Xcess Gentlemen's Club last night about a customer who refused to pay his bill.

Upon arrival, 37-year-old Michael Todd was said to be lying heavily drunk in the parking lot in front of the entrance and aggressively yelling at an employee.

According to authorities, Todd resisted officers when they attempted to arrest him, resulting in one of the officers injuring his hand.

Facility staff say Todd was trying to pay his bill when his card was declined, causing him to become angry and throw a chair on the floor.

According to the affidavit, an employee says Todd pulled her hair and licked her without her consent.

It is said that when bouncers tried to remove Todd from the store, he forced his way to the restroom, where he allegedly vandalized the men's room and smeared blood on the women's room.

Employees also say Todd jumped on an employee's car.

Officials say that while Todd was at the hospital for medical clearance, he made verbal threats to the officer he injured during his arrest and stated that the officer could come to his home after he was released from jail to protest to fight him.

Todd was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail and charged with multiple counts of assault, resisting law enforcement causing bodily harm, theft, criminal mischief, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

He is currently being held without bail.

The affidavit states that Todd was previously arrested on similar charges at Xcess in 2018.
