Canadian trucker caught at border with $16.5 million cocaine load: police

A Canadian trucker has been arrested and charged following a massive drug raid in Michigan near the Canada-U.S. border.

In the latest crackdown on truck drivers, American authorities seized more than 370 pounds of cocaine with a staggering street value of $16.5 million.

The driver, Sukjindr Singh of Peel Region, was nabbed Oct. 15 when he was pulled over during a traffic stop in Port Huron, across the St. Clair River from Sarnia, Ont.

Drake says, “I'll go up there and tear it down myself” when the Raptors take off DeRozan's jersey

Is there bad blood between Toronto rapper Drake and former Raptor DeMar DeRozan?

That question came up last weekend when former Raptor and NBA star Vince Carter's jersey was retired in Toronto.

Drake, who was in attendance at the ceremonies as the Raptors took on the Sacramento Kings, expressed his thoughts courtside on the possibility of DeRozan's player also being retired once his playing career is over.

“If you ever put up a DeRozan banner, I’ll go there and take it down myself. Call Kyle,” he replied as he attended a Raptors game for the first time this season.

It was unclear if Drake was actually serious, but it appears he wasn't joking.

DeRozan had a typically witty response after the game: “Well, he’s going to have a pretty long road ahead of him. I wish him luck.”

KINSELLA: Trump's victory will give a boost to a struggling Justin Trudeau

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau may be the happiest Canadian in the country.

According to columnist Warren Kinsella, the unpopular leader of Canada's Liberal Party was thrown into a lifeline by millions of American voters who grabbed the steering wheel and pulled it to the right by voting for Donald Trump as their next president.

He argues that Trudeau will work very hard to give Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre a shiny new MAGA tattoo because large swaths of left-wing Canadians will freak out once Trump takes office in January.

“Sometime on Tuesday evening everything changed. For the United States, for Europe, and even for little old Canada,” he writes. “It’s about to get really lively.”

We'll know in the coming months whether Trudeau can ride an anti-MAGA wave to a political resurgence in Canada, but we're not betting on it.

A Maple Leafs fan says he's forced to stop videos because of beer selection

Kurtis Stevenson, known on social media as Kurtis From Alberta, said he may close his account.

“I got a call today … that I can't make videos anymore unless I drink this team's sponsor's beer,” he said in a since-deleted video update.

“The beer company reported me and wanted to issue a cease and desist order or something similar, with legal action if I continued.”

Molson is the official beer sponsor of the Leafs. Stevenson throws back an Edmonton beer, Clock Out Lager from SYC Brewing Co.

It is not yet known whether Molson will take legal action as Stevenson continues to film himself drinking beer.

Tom Brady could be in trouble for comments on live TV: 'Can he say that?'

Does Tom Brady have a future in broadcasting?

The retired NFL legend, who recently purchased a stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, has been tripping over himself while calling games on TV.

This past weekend, the seven-time Super Bowl champion may have found himself in trouble again for commenting on a player's ejection during a game between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers.

As part owner of an NFL team, Brady is forced to agree to rules he must follow while carrying out his role as a game analyst for Fox.

One of those rules is not to criticize league officials.

“I don’t like that call at all,” Brady said of the ejection of Lions safety Brian Branch. “Of course it’s a penalty, but for me it has to be a serious intention in a game like this.”

Brady fumbled on that front, but it is unknown if he was reprimanded for the faux pas.
