Raygun looks unrecognizable on the magazine cover after the viral Olympic disaster

From Olympic laughing stock to cover girl.

Raygun, who was mercilessly mocked for her breakdancing performance at the Paris Olympics, appears on the cover of this week's issue of Australian magazine Stellar.

And on the cover, Raygun – real name Rachel Gunn – swapped her Olympic tracksuit for a stunning new look.

With her hair slicked back and tied in a braid, the Olympian looked gorgeous in a bright blue dress paired with strappy black sandals. Gunn also wore red lips to complete the glamorous look.

The full story won't be published until Sunday, but the cover featured a quote from Gunn: “You didn't bring me down. You didn't succeed. I still stand by what I did.”

Gunn's performance showcased a unique take on the fledgling Olympic sport in Paris.

She lost all three breaking matches 0-18 and was accused of disrespecting the Olympics by even accepting an invitation to compete.

Gunn and her friends and family faced significant backlash at home in Australia.

“I didn’t realize that this would also open the door to so much hate, which honestly was pretty devastating,” Gunn, 36, said in an August 15 Instagram video.

“Even though I went out there and had fun, I took it very seriously. I did my best in preparing for the Olympics and really did my best. It's an honor to be part of the Australian Olympic team and to be part of Breaking's Olympic debut. What the other athletes did was simply phenomenal.”

Gunn is an academic and lecturer in the Faculty of Arts at Macquarie University. She is said to have been considering several reality TV opportunities to capitalize on her newfound fame.

There will be no breaking at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
