Georgia at Ole Miss: How to watch, tips and odds for SEC matchup with CFP implications

The big change in college football's expanded playoffs isn't that it cheapened the regular season. It's that it made so many more games meaningful, and Saturday's Georgia-Ole Miss game is at the top of the list. Despite suffering two losses, Ole Miss is still deep in the playoff race and has a chance to make a big jump up the rankings if it can pull off an upset against the Bulldogs. Georgia goes into the game as a small away favorite.

As good as Georgia is, there are still a lot of questions about this year's Bulldogs team. The defense, while still strong, isn't quite as consistently dominant as it has been in recent years, while quarterback Carson Beck has gone from a potential top NFL draft pick to a massive question mark in just a few weeks. Turnovers have been a big problem for Beck this season, as he has already thrown 11 interceptions on 290 pass attempts. For comparison, a year ago he only had six interceptions on 417 pass attempts.

Beck's struggles were particularly noticeable when he was under pressure, and that could be the deciding factor that swings Saturday's game in Ole Miss' favor. Ole Miss has one of the most disruptive pass rushes in the country and has already racked up 41 sacks, the most in the country.

Offensively, it's all about quarterback Jaxson Dart, who is having another spectacular season as a dual-threat quarterback. He enters Saturday's game completing over 71 percent of his passes with 21 touchdowns to just three interceptions while passing for 254 yards and three additional touchdowns.
