Series meetings, recording and more

play

Texas football first met Florida 100 years ago, but the two have not been familiar opponents on the field since.

If the no. It is also the first time in 84 years since the teams played in Gainesville, Florida in 1940.

Texas (7-1, 3-1 SEC) is a 21.5-point favorite over the Gators (4-4, 2-3), who could be without five-star freshman quarterback DJ Lagway. The Longhorns will look to build off a 27-24 win over Vanderbilt in their last game two weeks ago, while the Gators are coming off a 34-20 loss to the Bulldogs.
