Bank robbery suspect arrested at Hotel Moorhead

A reported bank robber in Moorhead was arrested by police Friday, just 30 minutes after he reportedly stole an undisclosed amount of money.

According to Moorhead police, a bank in the 800 block of 37 Avenue South reported an armed robbery at 8:20 a.m.

The bank says a man entered a bank claiming to have a gun and demanding money.

Witnesses to the incident were able to describe the man to police and show officers the direction he went after the reported robbery.

According to police, 44-year-old Eric Flynn was spotted and arrested at a nearby hotel in the 3600 block of 8 Street South within 30 minutes of the reported robbery.

The bank's money was reportedly found on Flynn and officers searched his hotel room after obtaining a search warrant.

Police also found clothing he was reportedly wearing nearby during the robbery, as well as unspecified evidence.

Flynn is charged with first-degree aggravated robbery; He is currently housed at the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
