Donald Trump is back in Arizona to woo the college crowd at the ASU Tempe campus

Former President Donald Trump was scheduled to make his fifth trip to Arizona on Thursday, rallying supporters in the college town of Tempe less than two weeks before Election Day.

Trump was scheduled to speak at Mullett Arena on the Arizona State University campus at 2 p.m.

That same afternoon, President Joe Biden will fly to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport for his own visit to Arizona.

Trump is narrowly ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris in the Arizona presidential polls, and both campaigns expect the election to be decided by razor-thin margins.

The rally marks Trump's first major campaign stop in Tempe, according to an Arizona Republic analysis of presidential campaign visits.

In a statement announcing his trip, Trump targeted Harris over the economy, a key issue for Arizona voters.

“Kamalanomics has put the American dream of homeownership out of reach for young Americans and families across Arizona,” the Trump campaign said. “President Trump’s platform addresses contemporary issues such as the housing affordability crisis and supporting new homebuyers.”
