Registered sex offender arrested on NC School of Science and Math campus

A registered sex offender was arrested for being on the grounds of the North Carolina School of Science and Math in Durham.

Troy Langford, 46, of Perry Pond Drive in Wendell, was at the property on Oct. 3. Raleigh police arrested him at his home Saturday.

Langford's original sex crime was committed in Florida. In 1999, he was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior toward a child under 16 years old. When he moved to North Carolina, he was required to register and not be allowed on school grounds.
