Every country musician who has appeared on the Yellowstone lineup has been scouted

The Yellowstone The cast includes some multi-talented people who are not only incredible actors but also accomplished singers. Some of the neo-western series' main and recurring cast members have made their careers as country singers.

From Kevin Costner, who portrays lead patriarch John Dutton, to Lainey Wilson, who joined the show in season five as Ryan's girlfriend Abby, these artists highlight the country feel of the show with their iconic performances.

Some of her songs were also featured on the soundtrack throughout the show's five seasons. Let's take a look at all the members of the Yellowstone Cast who has impressed their fans with their country music.

1) Kevin Costner

Before he donned the John Dutton hat and immortalized the character with his stellar performance, Kevin Costner had already made a name for himself as a country musician. As lead singer of Kevin Costner & Modern Westhe has toured worldwide.

Costner's interest in music was sparked by his wife, Christine. In 2008 the band released their first record, Unsaid truths. In 2020, the group released their fifth album, Stories from Yellowstonewhich contains songs reflecting his character John Dutton.

His songs featured on the show's soundtrack include: Dark train of thought, Heaven's Gate, You won't see it coming, and The Murderer.

Costner has been linked to Yellowstone since its inception and remains the face of the series for many fans. However, he decided to leave the series during the fifth season and will not be seen in the final episodes.


2) Ryan Bingham

Ryan Bingham, who plays Walker, has demonstrated his singing talent several times on the show. He began his career as a singer before pursuing acting. Bingham released his debut studio album Mescalito in 2007 and five more albums followed.

3) Luke Grimes

Luke Grimes, who plays John Dutton's son Kayce Dutton in the series, began his music career in 2024. The actor released a single titled Burn – Live from Nashville on Spotify before releasing a self-titled album in March 2024.

4) Lainey Wilson

Lainey Wilson appears in season five as Abby, a country singer and Ryan's lover. She appeared at a party at the Dutton Ranch, where a romance developed between her and Ryan. Wilson, who has been making music since 2011, made her acting debut with the show.

She was associated with the series for years before joining the cast, as several of her tracks were featured on the soundtrack including Watermelon moonshine, Sideways straight up, Smell of smoke, And Hold my halo.


5) Other actors from the Yellowstone universe

In addition to the above-mentioned performers, several actors from spin-off shows have also made a name for themselves in country music. Tim McGraw, who plays the role of James Dutton in the prequel series 1883is a respected singer and songwriter.
