The Lakers officially sent Bronny James to the G League, giving the rookie more playing time against weaker competition.

James joins the South Bay Lakers, which also includes other players hoping to get more playing time with the Lakers.

In the first game of the year in the South Bay, the Lakers play against the Salt Lake City Stars, the G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz. James is expected to only play home games for South Bay to start the year, but with the team at home to start the G League season, he should get plenty of playing time on Saturday.
