More veterans study medicine at WSU than at other universities

At the university, 24 of the current 320 medical students are military personnel, or 7.8%. Nationally, veterans make up just 0.72% of the more than 90,000 students who have enrolled in medical school in the last four years.

This Veterans Day, the College will honor students who have served in the military, recognizing the diverse skills and experiences they bring to the practice of medicine.
