LIVE Discussion: Brooklyn Nets at Cleveland Cavaliers, 7:30 p.m. ET

Hello, old friends.

For the second night in a row, the Nets face the NBA's best Cleveland Cavaliers after a loss to Boston, where they face a handful of old friends and one hell of a basketball team.

We'll let our Brian Fleurantin tell the story… but don't think for a second that Kenny Atkinson doesn't really want this win.

Injuries: The Nets don't have Day'ron Sharpe, Trenton Watford or Bojan Bogdanovic. Night two in a row, so Ben Simmons is also out. Dariq Whitehead is on Long Island after his nice G League debut last night. For the CavsMax Strus is out with a sprained ankle. We'll also keep an eye on whether Cavs sit out two of their own B2B tournaments.

Time to see you again: Kenny Atkinson, who coached the Nets during their first rebuild under Sean Marks, isn't the only former Brooklyn guy on the Cavaliers. He hired DeMarre Carroll to play for him; Jordan Ott, who was an assistant coach under him in Brooklyn; and Trevor Hendry, who worked for him as video coordinator; as an assistant coach and hired his Nets Advance scout Patrick Licursi to take on the same role with the Cavs. And of course there are Jarrett Allen and Caris LeVert, who have thrived under Atkinson.
