James Franklin bounced back from last week's loss to lead the Nittany Lions to victory on Saturday night.

No. 6 Penn State defeated visiting Washington 35-6, rebounding from a Week 10 loss to Ohio State to improve to 8-1 on the season.

The victory came in front of a crowd of more than 110,000 fans who gathered at Beaver Stadium for the whiteout Saturday night.

Franklin received some boos from the Penn State crowd when he was introduced before the game to fans who apparently had not forgiven the Nittany Lions for their 20-13 home loss last week.

Penn State's prospects had improved by halftime as the Nittany Lions jumped out to a 28-0 lead through two quarters and demonstrated some lessons learned from the loss to Ohio State.

Penn State quarterback Drew Allar completed 20 of 28 yards for 220 yards and a touchdown to secure the victory.

Allar, who is in his third season at Penn State, entered eight games with a career-best pass percentage of 70.1.

Fans were impressed not only with Allar's numbers, but also with the quarterback's energy on the field as he led the Nittany Lions to victory.

Meanwhile, tight end Tyler Warren placed one Program recording His 58th catch of the season surpassed the 57 receptions recorded by Mike Gesicki in 2017.

Warren finished the game with five catches for 84 yards and a lost fumble.

Penn State safety Jaylen Reed shined on defense as he beat Washington starter Will Rodgers and forced the Huskies to switch to Demond Williams Jr. at center.

Penn State has fallen in the AP College Football Rankings after last week's loss to Ohio State, but the Nittany Lions have hopes of regaining a spot in the top five after Saturday night's rebounding performance.

Franklin and Penn State will hit the road again next weekend to face Purdue on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET.
