According to police, a man was shot dead in a hotel in Rome this afternoon

Rome, NY – A man was shot in the chest at the Relax Inn Hotel in Rome on Saturday afternoon, city police said.

According to Rome police, a shooting was reported at the hotel at 145 Erie Boulevard East around 4 p.m.

When police arrived, they found a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest, they said. He was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition.
