A man and woman were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide on Clay Road in western Harris County, according to HCSO

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — Authorities say an investigation is underway after a man and a woman were found dead at a complex in western Harris County on Saturday.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office responded to a welfare stop at 19770 Clay Road around 4 p.m.

Officials believe the incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Friday.

According to authorities, the man and woman were from Cuba, married for nine years and living separately. According to HCSO, they were a 48-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman.

Investigators believe that because of the placement of the gun, the husband shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself.

Investigators believe it could be a murder-suicide.
