Capitals 8-1 Blues (November 9, 2024) Game Recap

ST. LOUIS – Washington's Alex Ovechkin and Connor McMichael each scored two goals to give the Capitals an 8-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night.

Ovechkin has scored 863 goals, just 31 shy of Wayne Gretzky's NHL record of 894. Ovechkin has scored goals in six of his last seven games. It was also the 175th multi-goal game in Ovechkin's 20-year history, behind only Gretzky (189).
