'SNL' Cold Open Mocks Elon Musk and Reveals 'Hot, Flabbed Trump'

The first episode of Saturday Night Live Since Donald Trump's election victory mocked billionaire Elon Musk and debuted “Hot, Jacked Trump,” the cast insisted they were on the Republican's side “all along.”

The episode's cold start began matter-of-factly, with the cast discussing Trump's victory over Vice President Kamala Harris earlier this week.

“On Tuesday, Americans went to the polls and elected Donald Trump as the next president of the United States,” said Bowen Yang.

“For many people, including many who are watching this show right now, the results were shocking and even frightening,” Ego Nwodim said.

“Donald Trump, who violently attempted to overturn the results of the last election, was overwhelmingly returned to office,” said Heidi Gardner.

“This is the same Donald Trump who openly called for revenge against his political enemies,” said Kenan Thompson.

“And now, thanks to the Supreme Court, there are no guardrails,” Yang said.

Then Thompson delivered the punchline: “That’s why we’re on.” SNL I want to say to Donald Trump: We have been with you all along.”

Yang added, “We never wavered in our support for you even when others doubted you.”

Sarah Sherman said, “Every single person on that stage believed in you.”

And Marcello Hernández added: “Every single person on this stage voted for you.”

The cast continued to praise Trump, with Thompson adding, “If you keep some kind of list of your enemies, we shouldn't be on that list.”

Sherman then introduced a new character, “Hot, Jacked Trump,” which prompted James Austin Johnson to out himself as a muscular version of the president-elect.

He then claimed that the show – which had long mocked Trump – was now only giving a flattering impression.

“They finally got the body right,” Johnson said in his Trump voice. “But from now on we're going to portray Trump in a very flattering way because honestly he's my hero and he's going to be an incredible president and eventually king. We love you, buddy.”

Thompson later said: “The worst-case scenario, the scenario where our planet falls apart, we can all go to Mars with the other man we love and trust: Elon Musk.”

Then Dana Carvey came on stage and debuted a portrayal of the X-owner, who was one of Trump's biggest donors and could play a formal role in the new administration.

Carvey's Musk mimicked Musk's campaign antics, jumping up and down and performing some dance moves as the show's cast looked on with serious faces.

“Check it out: Dark MAGA. Yes! But seriously, I run the country now,” he said.

“America will be like one of my rockets. They're super cool and super fun, but there's a small chance it will explode and everyone will die. Ha ha! I am Dark MAGA. See you at the White House. USA.” ! USA!”

The episode was the first time this season SNL didn't start with Maya Rudolph as Harris, who made a surprise appearance as herself in last week's episode.
