Srikanth Odela slams film leaks: 'Stop blaming future creators' | Latest Telugu Cinema News | Film reviews

In today's digital age where information is instantly accessible, staying informed is effortless thanks to social media. However, it has also opened the door to abuse, with the film industry particularly affected by frequent leaks.

Unauthorized on-set images are becoming more common, released without permission, and dampening the tension filmmakers want to build. Many recent projects including Pushpa 2, Toxic, Coolie, The Paradise and Kannappa have fallen victim to such leaks.

The Kannappa team was dismayed when Prabhas' look from the film surfaced online without permission, prompting them to identify the culprit and take action against him. Meanwhile, Dasara director Srikanth Odela, who was forced to reveal the title of his upcoming film with Nani, openly discussed the ongoing leak issues on his X account.

In his post, he urged: “It is better not to blame the associate directors or writers for the leaks.” These people are the creators of the future and their selfless contribution to cinema deserves the utmost RESPECT! Change the habit of blaming really hard-working film departments and learn to admit your greed.”

Further commenting on the leaks regarding his project with Nani, he emphatically added, “I know the bastards who leaked my title and THEY ARE NOT FROM MY TEAM.”

On the other hand, some teams intentionally release images and brand them as leaks to create hype and stay in the trends spotlight. Hopefully TFI will come up with a plan to address this issue and enable better protection of creative content.
