The Memorial Park snowball fight was a huge success for the local community

COLORADO SPRINGS – Justin Terasas of Colorado made a Facebook post on Thursday, Nov. 7, inviting members of the community to join him in a snowball fight at Memorial Park.

The adult snowball fight took place on Saturday, November 9th at Memorial Park's North Field.

He decided to create this event because Coloradans were having a week full of events.

“It was a joke in a Facebook group I belong to and I decided to see if anyone would be interested in actually doing it. And it exploded.”

“We just had the election, we just had this weather – I mean, just driving to work was a challenge. So I think after all that we can all use some time and just throw snowballs at each other, have a good time, have a little community bonding.

The adult snowball fight attracted the attention of over 100 community members, with Terasas estimating about 150 people were in attendance.
